ARTIFICIAL

Human beings possess unbelievable intentions. For example, they intend to equal nature in power, beauty, and strength. They built buildings that try to imitate the mountain’s whimsical curves; they enclose harmonious objects in too-geometrical apartments; they divert the course of rivers to correct what they consider a trajectory that is not powerful, beautiful, or strong enough for almighty humans, for the feelings they deserve to feel when they contemplate a world that is there to serve them. Nature is not daunted, she does not recoil: she stays there, seemingly docile, and then sends back an eternity of emptiness and silence.
