PEAKS

They are there, submerged in the mist of a strange dusk: impossible trees whose roots cling to the stone, sober and cruel in their primitive silence. They live overwhelmed by a tension that is their own. Sometimes it hurts, they recognize its danger, but giving it up would mean suicide, throwing themselves into the open abyss under the worried stares of the vertical forest. Those trees stand where nobody would say they could, and life traces millions of routes that hide in the heart of their trunks, their branches, the reckless roots that receive the painful and pleasurable massage of the rocks.

Trees stand where nobody would say they could, overwhelmed by a tension that hurts them, that is dangerous, but belongs to them.
