NIMBUS

I was climbing the sacred mountain like a tiny ant. I completed the curves, I was shaking with the pace of the bumps. I went up and up again, and when I reached the top I saw how the world played a cosmic joke on me and went down, saying goodbye with the solemnity of a farewell that could be the last one. The clouds slided softly, as if they were trying to reach the sea level. The mountains seemed to regret their descent and shyly rebel against it with rock emergences, but in the end they surrendered and fell as well. An immense nimbus sun was hiding quietly behind the sacred hill, stripping me of myself, leaving me there, naked, climbing stubbornly. The world fell while I went up, but its immensity stayed with me.

An immense nimbus sun was hiding quietly behind the sacred hill, stripping me of myself, leaving me there, in silence.
